Linda Wachtel

Therapy can be an empowering process of growth highlighted by a safe and supportive space to explore oneself in the context of meaningful relationships. The therapy experience will be highly collaborative and valuing transparency at each step. Using a relational lens to consider the meaning of important relationships, family, work, culture, health, trauma, special needs and more will be the basis of the therapeutic process. In addition to individual therapy I have extensive professional training, life experience that I bring to the my professional work with expertise in areas of couples and family, health, special needs parenting, and adoption.

My professional experience in couple and family relationships, includes marital conflict, health care challenges including cancer in the family and special needs parenting and advocacy. I bring unique skills to the therapy experience to help individuals and families identify strengths and resources empowering them to create a new narrative.

I have advanced training in couples and family therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family in NYC, an international leader. Additionally, I've received adoption therapy certification. As a board member of the Childrens Brain Tumor Foundation and Jenna's Rainbow Foundation, I chair patient education and support programs.
